Who's "Chef Mac"?
(and what's the name of his grill?)

 

        Chef Mac’s Louisiana Cuisine, one of the newest eateries in Lauraville, is owned and operated by Maclonza Lee who has over thirty years of experience in the food service industry.  One of his major specialties, Louisiana cuisine, especially gumbos and Creole dishes, draws on his roots as a native of Alexandria, LA.  As a teenager, he worked in the kitchens of a variety of food establishments in Hannibal and St. Louis, MO and Quincy, IL.  From there, he gained more experience as a food service specialist in the US Army.  He used that experience to open his first restaurant in Hannibal, MO - Odell’s Barbeque - where he developed another of his trademarks - St. Louis style barbecue.  In addition, he has extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries as both a Production Manager and an Executive Chef. Residents of northeast Baltimore and greater Baltimore were able to get a preview of Chef Mac’s cuisine at the Hamilton Lauraville Tuesday Market Connection, Jazzy Summer Nights and various other neighborhood festivals during the summer.  

        
On
October 13, 2009, Chef Mac’s Louisiana cuisine opened at 4311 Harford Rd, and city residents can now experience expanded menu offerings six days a week in addition to daily specials - all cooked to order.  Stop by and bring your appetite!  It’s all good at Chef Mac’s.
